The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) relies on clinics and their management information systems (MIS) to provide efficient and reliable services to certify participants and issue benefits that can be redeemed at approved retail locations.
As a maintenance and enhancement contractor for two of the nation’s three state agency model (SAM) WIC MIS applications, the creator of a custom system, and hosting provider, we actively provide MIS services to more than a third of all WIC state agencies.

Launched in 2010, WIC Direct was the nation's first online solution to process Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) transactions for WIC. Built to meet the needs of one WIC state agency, WIC Direct has grown to support more than half of the nation’s 90 WIC state agencies. In 2021 alone, we processed more than $1,900,000,000 worth of WIC transactions for these clients.
In 2014, and then again in 2018, a state agency's WIC Direct EBT implementation was recognized as the NextGen EBT Project of the Year.
In conjunction with WIC Direct, we can also provide a stand-beside point-of-sale solution to retailers that need WIC-enabled devices.

Available as an add-on service to WIC Direct, CDP has launched the nation's first (and so far, only) functional online WIC purchasing solution, Pay Direct. With this solution, WIC participants can access their WIC benefits through a retailer's site, and then select purchases and check out—all without having to leave their house.
WORTH OF TRANSACTIONS
With our Farm Market Direct solution, farmers can use a smartphone or tablet device to scan a barcode to process the transaction using the same process used for other WIC transactions.
Our work is not done once the MIS system and WIC Direct are functional. After all, both of those systems generate data with every click or purchase made. We also provide the ability to take that data and turn it into something usable so that you can make informed program decisions based on hard data. That's where Data Direct comes in, which comes standard with every WIC Direct implementation.
